WHO WE LOOK FOR
We encourage students of all majors and backgrounds to apply - no business curriculum or consulting experience is required! We look for students from all grade levels who are enthusiastic and have an interest in pursuing consulting as a potential career. Students with passion, a keen desire to learn, and a strong interest in consulting would fit well in our organization.
APPLICATION PROCESS
The Consulting Club at USC conducts member recruitment at the beginning of the Fall and Spring semesters.
Our recruitment process begins with identical information sessions, one of which we strongly encourage prospective members to attend. Written applications will be due the weekend after the information sessions, and if you are selected to the interview round, your interview will take place the following week. The interview will be a combination of a standard behavioral interview, logic, and market sizing questions, which test for the logical reasoning and quantitative skills that a career in consulting requires.
We've laid out the application process below:
Recruitment FAQ:
[ Open All | Close All ]
1] What does the process of applying look like?
TCC recruits at the beginning of both the Fall and Spring semesters. The application process begins with two identical information sessions, one of which we strongly encourage potential applicants to attend. After attending an information session, potential members must submit a brief written application along with their resume and cover letter before the deadline. Finally, the last round of the recruitment process would be an in-person behavioral interview with a market sizing/logic component.
2] What are the qualifications to join TCC?
We are looking for students that are passionate about consulting, problem-solving and critical thinking. We accept students from all majors, levels and backgrounds, as long as you are sincerely interested in consulting, and are eager to learn!
3] What are the benefits of joining TCC?
The opportunity to learn about consulting, get intensive case preparation resources and practice time, as well as gain a network of like-minded peers are just some of the many benefits! Come to our information session to find out more!
4] When are TCC meetings? Are they mandatory?
TCC meetings are weekly in two-hour increments for both the Mentorship and Client Services Programs. General Membership is held once a week for an hour. Yes, they are mandatory to attend, especially since we would be teaching all of our curriculum and conducting client work at the meetings. We also have tons of company info sessions and speakers lined up which will also be held during our meeting times, so it is extremely important that you attend!
5} How many new members does TCC take each semester?
TCC does not have a fixed number of applicants we accept each semester. Our General Member Program is the largest cohort, open to all new members. Participation in our Mentorship Program, however, is capped by available class size, which aligns with our curriculum delivery. Our most selective offering is the Client Services Program—a close-knit team focused on developing client deliverables. Recruitment numbers are adjusted each semester to match each program needs and capacity.
